PETG (polyethylene terephthalate modified) combines the strength of ABS and the printability of PLA, making it a popular choice for engineers, makers and DIY enthusiasts. It features excellent impact resistance, chemical corrosion resistance and slight flexibility, making it suitable for manufacturing functional prototypes, mechanical parts, outdoor equipment and even food contact containers (subject to food safety certification). Unlike ABS, PETG has almost no warping, low odor, and does not require a closed printing environment. Compared with PLA, it is more resistant to high temperatures (80-85°C) and humid environments. Whether it's gears, housings or transparent decorative parts, PETG can strike a balance between strength and aesthetics.
